It will be “suicidal” for the country should NPP lose 2024 Elections – Former NPP MP (VIDEO)

Former NPP Member of Parliament for Manhyia North in the Ashanti Region, Collins Owusu Amankwa has opined that it will be bad news for the entire country should the NPP lose the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.

The former MP made this assertion when he was speaking in an interview with Accra-based Peace FM.

Justifying this position, Collins Owusu-Amankwa explained that the NPP has proven beyond any doubt to the entire country that they are inalienable as far as the development of Ghana is concerned.

According to the former MP, the Danquah-Busia-Dombo tradition, based on their track-record in government, has demonstrated that they hold the key to the socio-economic development of the country compared to their arch rival NDC.

Based on this, he asserted that many Ghanaians have come to accept that the NPP must stay in government beyond 2024 in order to continue with the massive developments which have taken place under their watch.

He therefore charged all the national officer aspirants of the NPP that they cannot afford to lead the party to defeat in 2024 since it will be a great disappointment to Ghanaians and bad news to the country’s development.

“We believe we hold the key to the development of this country in terms of policies, projects, programs which the NPP has demonstrated over the years that when it comes to pro-poor policies, we have enormous expertise compared to NDC. Based that Ghanaians are looking forward to us, we can’t disappoint them,” Collins Owusu Amankwa opined.

He therefore continued that, “we can’t afford to lose 2024 General Elections in this country. Otherwise, the standard we have put the country will be reversed like it happened to us in 2008 when NDC came to put the country on reverse gear. We were going backwards. At the end of the day the country’s economy was totally ruined until we came back.”
