A man by the name of Benjamin Eshun has allegedly poisoned his two children after he allegedly had a misunderstanding with the mother of the children.
The incident which occurred at Shama junction in the Shama District of the Western Region has shocked residents.
Information gathered by Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm indicates that the mother of the children Comfort Arthur was asked by her family to stop having an affair with the father of her children because he was not good for her.
Details indicate that Benjamin Eshun felt saddened after Comfort Arthur told him he was no longer interested in the relationship.
He then told Comfort Arthur that if she was no longer interested in the relationship then she would no longer have access to children.
By then, the children had visited him just like they do every weekend.
Threatened by the comments the mother and some rel;atives reported the issue at the Police station.
The Police reportedly told them to provide evidence of the matter and if they did not have it, they should go and record the conversation of the matter.
But the family insisted they were scared and wanted the Police to intervene.
The Police subsequently led them to the house of Benjamin Eshun but reaching there, they discovered the door had been locked, they forced it open and saw one of the children foaming in his mouth.
He was rushed to the hospital but died a few moments later.
Later, the second also foamed from his mouth and also died just like his brother.
Efforts to reach the father failed but he was later found collapsed at the hospital where his children were sent.
He also died a few moments later.
