National Service Personnel Receive ICT Training

A three-week training class has started for certain national service personnel in the Tamale Metropolis to level up their abilities in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

This is to upgrade their employability as most businesses and corporate associations require their employees to have such abilities.

The training is being precipitated by Simba Ghana, youth empowerment, governance, and peacebuilding non-governmental organization, and supported by Intercom Programming and Manufacturing Co. Ltd (IPMC) Ghana.

Mr. Abdul Mumin Abdul Rahaman, Executive Director of Simba Ghana, spoke during the launch of the training in Tamale, saying it was to reveal to its 180 members, to Microsoft office, graphic designing and basics of networking among others.

He said the digitization drive plan of the nation expected youthful alumni to be outfitted with essential ICT abilities to improve efficiency and subsequently preparation.

He said: “We have plans extending it for the total coverage of all service personnel in the Northern Region.”

Mr. Abdul Hamid Yushawu, a member, lauded Simba Ghana for the drive, saying it would give them an upper hand in the gig market.
