All State Institutions Must Be Held Accountable – Mahama

[ad_1]

Former President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has asked Ghanaians to hold all institutions of government accountable for their service to the people.

Absolute accountability, he said, when placed on state agencies and institutions will go a long way to remedy many of the systemic problems that affect our African people.

Mr Mahama made these remarks as part of a speech he delivered at the Liberty University in the United State of America.

Absolute accountability, not just by the government but by the institutions of state in service to the people and not themselves, will go a long way to remedy many of the systemic problems that affect our African people.

When it comes to accountability in Ghana, governments have always been the focus while civil servants create loopholes to steal cash from the state.

However, because these civil servants are not politicians, these individuals are mostly left off the hook while politicians struggle and are given all sorts of names.
