Black Stars: The World cup is coming home should Otto play these young champs.

[ad_1]

Otto Addo would have a tough time selecting the first 11 players for the Black Stars. Ghanaian players both abroad and the home-based are playing at their top form this season.

This is possible line up made by people who watch the black stars players, not those who depend on history and emotions. If you have any options contrary to these, kindly drop them in the comment section

Number one in the goalkeeping department is Joojo Wollacott. The shot-stopper, since he was discovered by Richard Olele, has played 11 games, managed 4 clean sheets, and has conceded 14 goals.

Alexander Djuku will partner with Daniel Amartey in the center-back position. These duos have partnered 13 times at the CB. They know and understand each other perfectly.

The highly rated Tariq Lamptey is expected to start ahead of Dennis Odoi in the right-back position. By the looks of many of those teams, people want their right-back to be someone who is impactful on the overlap and penetrative in the final third. Lamptey is much more that player than Denis Odoi. His small contribution in his debut against Brazil was enough to silence critics whose opinions were otherwise.

Arsenal Thomas Partey, Baba Idrisu, Kudus Mohammed, Kofi Kyere(Ghana is lucky to have him in the national team), Inaki Williams, and Kamaldeen Sulemana are all expected to start ahead of Jordan, Dede, Seidu, and others.

Ishahaku and Afena Gyan could lose their position in the call-up due to inadequate playing time in their club teams. No local-based player deserves a call-up in this current national squad. The GPL is below average and until things improve, these local players should be left behind. If local club owners want money from FIFA as compensation, then they should put much into developing local players. When Ghanaian players based abroad are sent to the world cup and they manage to win, the glory is for us all.

For the few matches played, Otto Addo has shown Ghanaians that players that would represent the national team should merit the call-up.

When all hopes were lost, Otto Addo pulled his magic wand and qualified the national team to the world cup, a dream we never imagined could be a reality. Let’s support him and his decisions and I believe the gaffer will bring laughter to the faces of Ghanaians again.
