I’m certain we have all experienced waking up in the middle of the night, feeling thirsty and wanting to gulp down some water. But should you keep water by your bed? Some researches do not approve of this, while others encourage it. There are different minds with different perspectives to the situation.
Those that do not approve made it clear that, leaving a glass or jar of water by your bedside can habor germs and bugs. Dust from the surrounding atmosphere could get attached to the glass, which is definitely unsafe to use for drinking.
But also those that encourage it stated their point that, when a person wakes up in the middle of the night, they are not fully conscious of themselves. And it helps to avoid any unnecessary movements which could result in the individual getting hurt. And anyway, the water can be kept in a jar to avoid germs.
Both points have solid reasons, and they definitely make sense. But whether or not to keep water by your bedside totally relys on each individual.
