Former Communications Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has sent a stern warning to some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) contesting for various positions in the party to desist from using his name in their dirty politics.
He says any individual who drags his name in the ongoing NDC internal primaries will have serious issues with him.
“Let me send an unsmiling & definite warning to those faceless people who wish to drag me into their dirty internal politicking to desist from it. Unlike in 2018, it will be different & they cannot stand it: they better stop [full stop]”, he wrote.
Dr Omane Boamah wrote the above on his Facebook wall on Thursday, October 13, 2022.
The opposition NDC is currently conducting its internal primaries to elect new executives to lead the party into the forthcoming elections in 2024.
The party is almost done with vetting for the aspirants at the Constituency level, where several people have picked up nominations to contest for various portfolios.
Per the party’s timetable, the Constituency primaries will take place by later this month, October which will then give way for the Regional and National contest slated for November, this year.
